Introduction, Chapter One: Miss Mead

The Mead family was always a close-knit family. They spent most of
their time together or at school and after-school activities, but as the
seventh generation became young adults, it was time for the children
to move out. The mothers of the Mead family always chose a child
to continue their legacy, however, Garlyne (fourth from the right)
chose to let her children live their own lives and live their own legacies.
Garlyne had married her imaginary friend, Pay and they had a young
son who was tragically killed by a meteor. After that, Garlyne
became pregnant with Vanessa and Veronica, their twin girls.
Jeremy, the youngest, was the last child of Garlyne who decided
not to have 8 to 12 children like the rest of her relatives before her.

Veronica and Vanessa were close sister, but were becoming
farther apart since Veronica decided she wanted to go by the
nickname "Erin" and started talking about moving out. Now
Vanessa was a quiet girl who couldn't speak, at least since
she lost her voice in a car accident the year before. When her
sister expressed her decisions to move away, she became upset
and unhappy that she was going to lose her closest sibling, her best
friend. Erin knew her sister was upset and promised to stay in contact.
One night, a few weeks after the twins had graduated from
high school, Erin decided to talk to their mother about her plans
to move out and get a house of her own. After her mom was fine with
her decision, Erin asked her mom for some help picking out houses.

Within a week or so, Garlyne and Erin had found a house across town
that was big enough for a young woman to live and have family if she
ever decided to settle down. Erin said her good byes to her parents
and siblings after she got the settlement and bought the house.

Erin was finally on her way to starting her new life and
was excited to be on her own for the first time in her life!
